The Preciousness of Space

Irma is the God of War, and she is coming. Roaring into space and time…devastating and crackling with destructive energy, she is here.

Looking at pictures of her from space, I am in awe of the scope of her being. Never bigger, she is the one to contend with, now…

The magnitude of her space is beyond comprehension.

Water, air, churning, roaring…climate change, you bring extremes. We live in your space now, so what can we learn?

It is about space and how we treat our precious place on this earth.

We been neglectful, perhaps feeling our own indestructability…until Irma and Harvey remind us otherwise.

Tonight as I embrace humanity in my thoughts and prayers, I feel a deep humility, deeper than the marrow of my bones: we are fragile and precious and glorious.

Do we turn a blind eye?

Do we freeze before the destruction?

Or do we rise….

Perhaps this is the lesson…that we rise to show our better selves.

That we reach for that better, that purer space within each of us, that place where healing begins and humanity soars.

Will you join me in your own way? Light a candle. Say a prayer. Donate money. Volunteer.

I believe with all my heart that the precious space of divinity lives within us all; listen for her healing and loving call.

What good will you bring into the world, today?
