A Space to Be Still

Be still and let the world happen. This thought came to me this week as I meditated.
I love it!
The process of letting go is so very profound. It’s a release. It’s freedom.
The world happens and will continue to happen. I can’t do anything about that. But what I can do is to stop reacting to all the nonsense.
Will my yelling at the TV change the way our President behaves? Of course not! It does feel good for a second, and then it’s right back to feeling frustrated and out-of-control.
And really, I don’t like putting that kind of energy out into the world. There’s enough yuckiness and ugliness, already. I don’t need to be adding to that swirling maelstrom of negativity.
What I am seeking to do, instead, is to bring to the world a bit of healing, a bit of empowerment, a bit of grow, a bit of Love.
No, this is not naive. It is what I can do.
Me.
I can control how I respond.
That is all.
I do not have to take on this blanket of fear that is rolling through the world.
I do not!
No, it’s not easy.
No….it is not…and that too, is something that I honor.
But when I breathe into my life instead of fighting against it, peace becomes palpable, I can hear the divine and follow Her direction so much easier.
Instead, I choose to be still and let the world happen.
Call to Action: What is one thing that you can let go of, today, that brings you more peace and brings more peace to the world?
