A Space for Me

Words have been elusive to me.

Strange for a writer, and a bit unnerving.

But such is the way of life with a young child.

So I rise again, today, and sit at my computer and carve out time to write. Funny how that works. When I make time, the words come. It’s like exercise, I suppose; the more we do it, the healthier and stronger we become.

Such is writing. When I sit in my chair and do it, my writing is also strengthened.

As I work through this thing called parenthood, I’ve re-set my schedule and am trying again. Like life, we fall and get up and smile and are grateful for every single lesson.

I’m also learning to say no to things that don’t serve me anymore. That’s very challenging for me and quite new. But with a child and work, things change, and I can’t do it all.

I cannot do it all.

And that is okay.

But writing is one of those things that that I cannot do without. Like a good cup of coffee, it jots my soul to life…and I love it!

So, I’ve re-committed to writing, reading, meditation, and exercise.

Here are the words that came out today, I hope you enjoy!

A Space for Me

You are enough. I hope you feel this, today.

You are worthy. I hope you know this to the bottom of your soul, today.

You are strong. I hope you roar with strength and giggle with delight, today.

You are beautiful. I hope you reflect this truth, everywhere, today.

You are loved. I hope, dear one, that you never forget this…ever, or even…today.

Call to Action: What is one thing you can stop doing, that you don’t love, in order to create space for something that you do love, something that feeds your soul?
