A Space for Poetry

Nathan Anderson
Today’s post is poem that I wrote awhile ago. As I carve out time for more writing, reading, and creativity in my life, I’m beginning to re-discover my love of poetry: both reading and writing it!
The Moon by Shelly Coffin
The moon spoke to me.
I know, I was listening.
The early morning darkness still stung the eyes. Cold. Bitter. Quiet.
And yet that moon.
It was just there, as the clouds sprinted away.
I was illuminated in its brilliance.
I was in awe of its simplicity.
I wonder at the space I noticed that early morning, before time started.
It was a brilliant thing. That moment in time.
That quiet moment in time when the moon spoke to me…but only because I was listening….
